Kong Song So

  1. From regular Chun Be, look left, pick up the right leg turning to the left 900 and step backward into a Fighting Stance executing a Middle Knife Hand Block.
  2. Immediately, look 1800 to the right, pick up the left foot and turning to the right step backward into a Fighting Stance executing a Middle Knife Hand Block.
  3. Look to the left 900, pick up the right foot and turn to the left stepping backward into a Fighting Stance executing a Middle Knife Hand Block.
  4. Step forward with the right foot into a Front Stance executing an Outside-Inside Block.
  5. Step forward with the left foot into a Front Stance executing an Outside-Inside Block.
  6. Step forward with the right foot into a Front Stance executing an Outside-Inside Block.
  7. Immediately execute two Middle Punches, left then right. Ki-Yup.
  8. Look to the left 1800. Pick up the left foot turning around and setting it down into a left foot-leading Front Stance. As you begin the turn, lower both hands to about waist high and bring them together with the left open hand lying across the side of right wrist. Continue the turn, setting the left foot down with the hands moving in a clockwise direction as if the right hand is wrapping itself around an extended arm or pole. At the very conclusion of the move, the hands tug backward slightly as if to tighten the grip. At this time, you should be facing 1800 from the starting Chun Be position in a left leg leading Front Stance, with both hands chin height, the right wrist turned so that the right hand can hold an extended arm or pole. The left hand is lying at the side of the right wrist to provide additional support / strength.
  9. With the right foot execute a Front Snap Kick with a fast pull back.
  10. Immediately hop forward into a Side Block onto the right foot with the balls of the left foot wrapping behind. The right hand executes an Inside/Outside Block and the left fist is chambered at the left rib cage.
  11. Immediately shift into an right leg leading Front Stance executing another right hand Inside/Outside Block
  12. Immediately execute two Middle Punches, left then right.
  13. Look left 1800. Turn left picking up the left leg setting it down into a Fighting Stance. As you turn, the hands rotate like a windmill, i.e. as in Pal Che So. The right fisted hand moves downward as the left fist crosses upward to the right shoulder. The hands then crisply rotate clockwise with the right arm ending behind the head, bent at a 900 angle and the right forearm vertical. The left arm also rotates clockwise and finishes as a low block over the left knee.
  14. After the slightest pause, the left leg is picked up and set down right next to the right foot, and the fists are momentarily brought together (although they never touch). The right hand is eventually pulled back and chambered at the right rib cage, and the left hand is leveled in front of the chest, fisted palm down, with the left forearm guarding the chest, but not touching. All of these moves start gracefully and end with the slightest snap. At the conclusion, the body is facing 900 right of Chun Be, although the head is turned to look over the left shoulder (toward the original position). Both feet are together and both legs are straight.
  15. Pick up the left foot turning left 900 (this will actually put you facing in the original Chun Be direction) setting it down into a left foot-leading Front Stance.
  16. With the right foot execute a Front Snap Kick with a fast pull back.
  17. Immediately hop forward into a Side Block onto the right foot with the balls of the left foot wrapping behind. The right hand executes an Inside/Outside Block and the left fist is chambered at the left rib cage.

  19. Immediately execute two Middle Punches, left then right.
  21. At the conclusion, the body is facing 900 left of Chun Be, although the head is turned to look over the left shoulder (opposite the original position). Both feet are together and both legs are straight.
  22. Look left 900. Pick up the left leg and set it down into a Fighting Stance. As you turn, the hands execute a windmill move as described before with the right arm ending behind the head bent at a 900 angle and the right fisted forearm vertical; the left fist executes a Low Block over the left knee. You are in a Fighting Stance with your back to the original Chun Be position.
  23. With the right foot, cross step in front of your left foot setting the left foot down into a Horse Riding Stance. As you move both fists are brought to the right hip momentarily and then execute a double Side Punch to the left. The left arm is fully extended and the right fisted arm ends in front of the chest, much like a Yuk Gin short punch.
  24. Look right 1800. Pick up the right leg and set it down into a Fighting Stance. As you turn, the hands execute a windmill move as described before with the left arm ending behind the head bent at a 900 angle and the left fisted forearm vertical; the right fist executes a Low Block over the right knee. You are in a Fighting Stance with your back to the original Chun Be position.
  25. With the left foot, cross step in front of your right foot setting the right foot down into a Horse Riding Stance. As you move both fists are brought to the left hip momentarily and then execute a double Side Punch to the right. The right arm is fully extended and the left fisted arm ends in front of the chest, much like a Yuk Gin short punch.
  26. Taking two steps; beginning with the right heel step “forward” (this is actually 1800 from original Chun Be position), followed by the left foot ending in a Fighting Stance; executing a Middle Knife Hand Block.
  27. Step forward into another Middle Knife Hand Block.
  28. Immediately re-chamber the open hands on the left hip; continuing this leftward turn, hop backward turning 3600 in the air to land in the same position as you began, i.e. Fighting Stance with the right leg forward executing a Middle Knife Hand Block. (Your back is to the original Chun Be position).
  29. Look left 900. With snap, pick up the left leg so that the thigh is parallel with the floor ready to execute a Side Kick. The right fist is chambered against the right rib cage and the left fisted arm is palm down in front of the chest (but not touching) parallel to the floor.
  30. Execute a Side Kick with the left foot with a simultaneous punch with the left fist. Pull the kick back in, but leave the arm fully extended. Open the left hand, set the left foot down into a Front Stance and execute a right Elbow Strike to the left palm. At the conclusion, you will be in a left foot-leading Front Stance facing 900 right of original Chun Be position. Both arms will be in front of you parallel to the floor with the left arm wrapped around the right - which has performed an Elbow Strike to the left palm. The right fist will be nestled in the crook of the left elbow.
  31. Look right 1800. With a snap, shift into a Fighting Stance position with the left fist chambered at the left rib cage and the right is leveled in front of the chest, fisted palm down, with the right forearm guarding the chest, but not touching. Your back is to the Original Chun Be position and you are facing 900 left.
  32. With snap, pick up the right leg so that the thigh is parallel with the floor ready to execute a Side Kick. The left fist is chambered against the left rib cage and the right fisted arm remains palm down in front of the chest (but not touching) parallel to the floor.
  33. Execute a Side Kick with the right foot with a simultaneous punch with the right fist. Pull the kick back in, but leave the arm fully extended. Open the right hand, set the right foot down into a Front Stance and execute a right Elbow Strike to the left palm. At the conclusion, you will be in a right foot-leading Front Stance facing 900 left of original Chun Be position. Both arms will be in front of you parallel to the floor with the right arm wrapped around the left - which has performed an Elbow Strike to the right palm. The left fist will be nestled in the crook of the right elbow.
  34. Look to the left 900. Without picking up either foot shift from a right leg leading Front Stance to a left leg leading Front Stance. As you begin the shift / turn, lower both hands to about waist high and bring them together with the left open hand lying across the side of right wrist. Continue the turn, setting the left foot down with the hands moving in a clockwise direction as if the right hand is wrapping itself around an extended arm or pole. At the very conclusion of the move, the hands tug backward slightly as if to tighten the grip. At this time, you should be facing 1800 from the starting Chun Be position, in a left leg leading Front Stance, with both hands chin height, the right wrist turned so that the right hand can hold an extended arm or pole. The left hand is lying at the side of the right wrist to provide additional support / strength.
  35. With the right foot execute a Front Snap Kick with a fast pull back.
  36. Immediately hop forward into a Side Block onto the right foot with the balls of the left foot wrapping behind. The right hand executes an Inside/Outside Block and the left fist is chambered at the left rib cage.
  37. Immediately shift into an right leg leading Front Stance executing another right hand Inside/Outside Block
  38. Immediately execute two Middle Punches, left then right. Ki-Yup.
  39. Without lifting either foot, pivot to the left into a Horse Riding Stance. As you shift cross the arms, right fist on the left shoulder, left open hand by the right hip. Slowly bring the right fist to the right rib cage and swing the left open palm leftward as if spreading seeds. At the conclusion, you will be facing 900 right of original Chun Be position in a Horse Riding Stance with the right hand chambered at the rib and the left open palm above the left knee.
  40. Executing a Jump Outside-Inside Kick that slaps the left open palm, turning 1800 in the process and landing in an Eagle Claw Stance facing 1800 from original Chun Be position with the right leg forward, knee deeply bent and tucked into your chest with both hands on either side of the right leg, fingers digging into the ground. The left leg is stretched behind you resting on the balls of the foot. Look downward.
  41. Immediately look left 1800, with as little jump / vertical lift, shift into a Choi Ha Dan Sudo Makee – pushing off the front (right) foot shift back into a deep front-like stance on the right foot. The right foot points backward (in this case toward original Chun Be position), and the left leg is stretched out in front of the body as the arms execute a Low Knife Hand Block over the left knee. You are very low to the ground.
  42. Pushing off the back (right) foot, step forward (this is actually 1800 from the original Chun Be direction) into a right leg leading Front Stance and execute an Inside/Outside Block.
  43. Step forward with the left foot into a Front Stance executing an Outside-Inside Block.
